I've been hearing that T6 is superior or 'will give the edge' going into Naxx, and with WoWhead's new compairson tool, I decided to test that theory.

All of the Outland gear is either crafted (BoE) or a quest item. None of it is dungeon gear (besides Primals you need to craft them).

So much for that argument.

I think the best you've heard from Mort and I is that it is passable in Naxx, but that better is (fairly) easily obtained.

Indeed. T6 is passable, but relatively little effort in the big picture will cause quite the significant improvement.

Solid tanks.

Its going to require relearning how to play, but you'll be pleased.

I dunno.

Keeping the 4 strongest pieces of T6 and wearing the rest wrath gear might work out for dps, because a flat 5% bonus to damage done is worth a lot of stats.

You keep only the 4 best T6 pieces, so you're still upgrading everything else (meaning you only lose out on 4pc worth of gear. Your other 4 pieces, weapon, wand, offhand, rings, neck, trinkets still get upgraded).

Especially when you're going to be upgrading the gems on them to the new epic gems which extends their longevity a little bit (plus, there's not a lot of item sockets on the new gear, so keeping old stuff with a lot may make it easier to do things like reach hitcap if gemming for hit)
