After a hiatus from vacation and laziness, bringing it back.

Top 5 Boilerplate:
To spark conversation and debate, especially on slow forum days, I am starting a weekly post called Top 5. Each week will be a different theme. You post your top 5 choices for that theme. Make your choices any way you see fit and discuss others.

Movie Directors:
Saw Inglorious Basterds, and it gave me the idea for this. Who are the guys that any time they make a movie, you have to go see it, and in most cases you love it?

5. James Cameron
---Both good terminator movies and Aliens, he deserves to be on here... as long as he hasn't lost it and Avatar is actually good.

4. Ridley Scott
---Alien, Blade Runner, Gladiator... bad ass.

3. Chris Nolan
---Start with Memento, end with The Dark Knight? This guy is awesome.

2. Kevin Smith
---Jay and Silent Bob was okay, Jersey Girl was a miss, everything else was great.

1. Quentin Tarrantino
---Deathproof and Jackie Brown were okay, everything else was great.

No really, Sergio Leone should be up there. As well as Scorsese. Francis Coppola too, though most of his contemporary work is producing. Whatever that really means.

I'm bad at picking this sort of thing myself, but I think MushroomMan has the best so far so i'll go with his.

Yeah, could've thrown Peter Jackson in there too but I've really only seen Dead Alive, Heavenly Creatures, King Kong and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. But I guess if he came out with something interesting I'd want to see it. I saw District 9 and I loved it but he didn't direct it so whatever. And he's got a new movie coming out that I guess hasn't been hyped at all so I don't know if I actually follow him or just like him, but I'll throw him on the honorable mentions for sure.
