LFR might be ridiculously easy, even though it can be somewhat fun because of that. Overall it seems like a success and more could probably be done with it. I was thinking, what if they brought back 40-mans through LFR? Maybe make the difficulty about on par with normals (health pool, damage, etc. with only a few of the mechanics stripped or nerfed (particularally the ones that are griefable)) with almost double the drops. Get everyone playing and such.

Not a bad idea, though it might cause problems with role-distribution. Tanks are already dealing with queue times longer than DPS since they went from a 1:4 ratio to a 1:12.5 ratio, and healers are more in demand than ever for similar reasons (1:4 to 1:3.1). Switch that up to 40 and you're looking at egregious queues for tanks and a big bottleneck for healers, depending on the quota for healers.

I think a lot of the changes necessary to make LFR better are more prosaic, though. Once the loot system can detect class and spec, that'll remove a lot of loot whining, and if they can work out some way to tie starting encounters to ready checks, we'd get rid of a lot of griefing.
