Raid Invite Priority
Raider > Associate Raider > Initiate : Invite order may be modified by officers for individual fights/raid needs.
General Guild Rank Structure
- Initiate (rank 5)
Starting rank for the guild. You can be called into raids (usually farm content). DKP earned is the same as Associate or full raider. After a review period, Initiates are promoted to Associate until a raid spot is available for full Raider promotion.
- Associate (rank 4)
This is the "bench". Members of this rank have proven that they can be a constructive part of the guild and contributing raiders when a spot becomes available. Associates are not "waiting in line" with each other for the next available spot for their role. We will promote as spots become available based on the needs of class balance in the raid. This may sometimes mean that someone who has been in the guild less time is promoted before a person who has been waiting longer, because we need a certain make-up or utility. This isn't a personal slight but is what we need to do in order to balance and optimize the raid.
Associate Raiders who are not in the raid will receive the same DKP that the 25 people in the raid earn on a given kill as long as they are available online at the time of the kill. If you are on standby, you must be reachable for the entire raid.
- Raider (rank 3)
Full fledged raid team member. They are our first line for raid spots. Raiders enjoy the benefit of earning the same DKP that the 25 people in the raid earn on a given kill as long as they are available online at the time of the kill as well as getting attendance credit. If you are on standby, you must be reachable for the entire raid.
NOTE: All raiding ranks (Initiate, Associate, Raider) have an attendance requirement. 67% (2/3rds) is the absolute minimum attendance allowed unless special arrangements have been made with the officers beforehand. We, of course, prefer attendance rates to stay closer to 100%.
- Officer & Quartermaster (Rank 1 & 2)
These individuals direct guild policy, lead raids, lead raiding role groups, handle DKP, resolve conflicts, and are generally awesome.
- Friends and Family (rank 6-not included in the Raiding Roster above)
Real life friends and family may apply to the guild to join as a friends and family member. These members are in the guild because they enjoy the atmosphere, like the people, etc. They are not in the guild to be raiders. Members who joined as raiders will always have priority on raid spaces. There is no expectation that F&F members will be available at raid times, or at any particular time for that matter.
F&F members are still expected to follow the guild rules, be supportive of the raid team, and the be supportive of the guild in general. If there is a raid opening in the future, F&F members (like anyone), will be free to apply for that position. There are no guarantees that an F&F member will be first in line for raid spots.
